Hi Gorge,
Ahh very nice :) !!! I love Greece and its people!
When I was young I had a great love, a great girl, her name was Cryssoula, we were often in Athens, on the outskirts, where her parents had a house.
One of my best friends, Stavros Ntokos, has a Greek restaurant “Athens” here in Germany/Berlin and my apartment is right above the restaurant :D ! I am almost often at his place  ;) .
But back to the topic:
The POKEY costs 35€.
I looked up the shipping costs, there are 2 options:
1x DHL parcel without tracking 6,49€ or 1x DHL parcel with tracking 14,49€ (see screenshot attached).
Let me know what you prefer. Best regards, and have a nice evening! André

Hi André,
I'll take the cheap option, thanks. Do you accept paypal? I can send you the money (35+6,49€=41,49) if you give me your address. Otherwise, let me know what we can do.
Pokey prices have really gone high haven't they? I don't remember seeing prices like 80€ for a pokey on ebay.
Anyway, let me know and of course if you ever come to Athens, drop me a line and we could meet up for a coffee or something.
George
Hi George,
hope, everthing is fine?
If you have changed your mind and don't want the POKEY after all, that's no problem :), so please let me know too ;),
Best regards, André

Hi André,
For some reason I sent a reply to... myself instead of you? Anyway, here's what I wrote yesterday:

Hello George,
yes, I guess you answered yourself first, as I hadn't received your reply ;). Luckily I asked again, otherwise we might have lost each other....
@Pokey prices: Yes, 35€ is really the very lowest I can offer and I only offer this price to ABBUC members and forum members. Due to the fact that the prices for alternative (FPGA based) POKEY's (such as PokeyMax etc.) have also become extremely expensive, the prices for an original POKEY have also risen sharply in recent years. I also receive many enquiries from ATARI Arcade Games users, some of whom have up to 4 POKEYs per machine and need them to repair the machines.
Regarding shipping: No problem I can take the cheap version, but are you sure? I don't know how reliable and trustworthy the parcel services in Greece are.... Here in Germany they have become worse and the cheap version has no tracking and no insurance.
@Transfer: Yes, you are welcome to use ‘Paypal friends’, the address is: YourBrain@gmx.net Please make sure to use .net, NOT .de, otherwise the money will run into a black hole  .
Finally I need your shipping address please, so I can prepare everything.
@Athen: Yes, that sounds good! If I ever plan to be there again I'd love to get in touch for a coffee or something :) !
Best regards,
André

All cool, and no worries, DHL is reliable, but it might take some time for the parcel to arrive - I can live with that.
My address is:
George Nakos Sfaktirias 12 Peristeri 12136 Attiki Greece
And with that I'll send you the money. Thanks a lot!
Hello George,
great, thank you! The money has arrived!
You can find the correct DHL sticker attached here in advance.
I'll send the parcel on its way to you tomorrow.
Best regards and have a nice evening,
André

Hi Andy,
Just wanted to give you some closure - after almost 1 month, the pacakge arrived!
Unfortunately, it put in in my 800XE, plus a Sally CPU, powered the machine on... and it still doesn't boot. Oh well.
Thanks for the chip anyway,
George
Hi George, thanks for the feedback!
Wow! One month?! It took that long? That's crazy :o !
Hmm, that your XE doesn't boot, that's very annoying :(, but the POKEY is 100% okay, I had tested it again before.
I hope you can get the XE working again somehow!
I'll keep both fingers crossed for you!
Best regards, André
